Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located in select areas of the College for use by trained responders to treat cardiac emergencies. All Public Safety staff are trained and certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and in the use of an AED.
AED units are stored in cabinets that activate a local alarm when opened. The alarm is also linked directly to the Public Safety Center to allow for emergency response by Public Safety Officers.
