Protective Services

Protective Services is the most visible segment of our three operational units. We maintain a staff of skilled and highly trained personnel committed to delivering a standard of excellence in professionalism and public safety service in support of our department mission.

We are responsible for providing a variety of proactive services in pursuit of fostering and maintaining a safe and secure environment that supports the education, research and business practices of the College. Our services are vast. We monitor our physical, technical and life safety security applications, support emergency planning operations, utilize foot, vehicle and bicycle patrol practices to heighten our presence and response capabilities, respond to a variety of calls for service that range from general assistance requests to critical incidents, and provide community outreach and crime prevention programming.

In order to support and strengthen our proactive measures, we also collaborate with our community partners and local law enforcement to share and elicit information to develop meaningful and cooperative strategies to address issues that may compromise the safety and security of our community

Safety and security is a team effort and we encourage your involvement and welcome your concerns and/or comments. Uniform staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our office is located on the first floor of the the Health Research Center (HRC) and we may be reached at 414-456-8295.
