Radiology Fellowship Programs

The Department of Radiology offers Fellowships in Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Cardio-Thoracic Imaging, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric Radiology, and Vascular Interventional Radiology.

Body Imaging Fellowship

The Body Imaging Fellowship in includes additional training in magnetic resonance imaging, computed body tomography, sonography, and interventional techniques.

Cardio-Thoracic Imaging Fellowship

The Cardio-Thoracic Imaging Fellowship was established in 1983 in memory of Dr. Gerard Scanlon, an outstanding chest radiologist and teacher. The fellowship offers training in all aspects of Cardio-Thoracic Imaging. The fellowship is one-year in length.

Neuroradiology Fellowship

Neuroradiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin is based at Froedtert Hospital. The neuroradiology faculty includes eight neuroradiologists with excellent academic credentials and specialized areas of expertise, including head and neck imaging, adult neuroimaging, neuroanatomy, and physiologic brain imaging.

Vascular Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program

At the Medical College of Wisconsin, our faculty currently consists of five full-time fellowship-trained, CAQ Board Certified Interventional Radiologists and three full-time Nurse Practitioners. We have a well-rounded clinical practice covering the full spectrum of Interventional Radiology managed by four registered nurses. We believe that our fellowship has many unique qualities, not the least of which is its relationship with the Department of Vascular Surgery.

Pediatric Radiology Fellowship

The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship is one of the most comprehensive in the country, will include digital radiology, fluoroscopy, body computed tomography and magnetic resonance, ultrasound, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine studies. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin: As a national leader in pediatric health care, Children’s Hospital is ranked as a top hospital by U.S. News and World Report and Child magazines. It was recently ranked the #3 Children’s Hospital in the nation by Parents magazine. It is the only freestanding Level I Trauma Center in the region that cares exclusively for children and has nationally recognized cardiac, bone marrow transplant, and neurosciences programs.
