The Department of Radiology offers Fellowships in Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Cardio-Thoracic Imaging, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric Radiology, and Vascular Interventional Radiology.
The Abdominal/Body Imaging Fellowship in includes additional training in magnetic resonance imaging, computed body tomography, sonography, and interventional techniques.
The Cardio-Thoracic Imaging Fellowship was established in 1983 in memory of Dr. Gerard Scanlon, an outstanding chest radiologist and teacher. The fellowship offers training in all aspects of Cardio-Thoracic Imaging. The fellowship is one-year in length.
The Medical College of Wisconsin's Neuroradiology Fellowship Program is a one year ACGME accredited training program located at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Froedtert Hospital is a general tertiary and primary care hospital, with a Level 1 Trauma Center. It serves as a primary source for the local community, as well as a tertiary referral hospital for Southeast Wisconsin.
At the Medical College of Wisconsin, our faculty currently consists of seven full-time fellowship-trained, CAQ Board Certified Interventional Radiologists and three full-time Nurse Practitioners. We have a well-rounded clinical practice covering the full spectrum of Interventional Radiology managed by four registered nurses. We believe that our fellowship has many unique qualities, not the least of which is its relationship with the Department of Vascular Surgery.
The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship is one of the most comprehensive in the country, will include digital radiology, fluoroscopy, body computed tomography and magnetic resonance, ultrasound, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine studies. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin: As a national leader in pediatric health care, Children’s Hospital is ranked as a top hospital by U.S. News and World Report and Child magazines. It was recently ranked the #3 Children’s Hospital in the nation by Parents magazine. It is the only freestanding Level I Trauma Center in the region that cares exclusively for children and has nationally recognized cardiac, bone marrow transplant, and neurosciences programs.
