Cost of Surgery Questions

Is there an initial consultation fee?

Dr. Rhee's initial consultation is FREE for cosmetic appointments. If there is a disease process present, a functional problem, or a trauma involved, your insurance company will be billed for the visit.

Does insurance pay for cosmetic surgery?

Most insurance companies do not cover purely cosmetic surgery. If the procedure is being done for reconstructive purposes due to trauma, to correct a breathing problem, or a marked deformity, the procedure may be covered. Check with your insurer for specific details.

How much is cosmetic surgery?

Following your initial consultation with Dr. Rhee, an estimated quote for surgeon, anesthesia, and facility/operating room fees will be mailed to you. Three months of post-operative follow-up appointments are built into these fees.

Are there any hidden costs?

Each patient may have unique circumstances that may cause the charges to vary. Additional charges such as pre-operative testing and/or pathology testing required by the facility will not be included in the surgery quote.

When and how do I pay for surgery not covered by insurance?

Payment must be provided 14 days prior to the procedure being done. This can be furnished in the form of cash, credit card, check, or money order.

Are there any discounts?

When multiple procedures are performed at one time, Dr. Rhee offers a 25% discount on the surgeon and facility fees for the second, lower cost procedure.
