American Association of Endocrine Surgeons 31st Annual Meeting
The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) is an international organization devoted to the research and treatment of endocrine surgery. Membership is limited to Fellows of the American College of Surgeons who have a major interest and devote significant portions of their practice to the field of endocrine surgery.
At the recent annual meeting, Dr. Douglas Evans, 31st President of the AAES, gave his presidential address, entitled, “Papillary Carcinoma of the Thyroid: Balancing Principles of Oncology with Emerging Technology.” Dr. Tina Yen was selected as the Chair of the Publication and Program Committee for the 2012 meeting, a committee on which she has served for the past two years. Dr. Tracy Wang was named to a three-year term as the AAES representative to the Endocrine Section Council of the American Medical Association.
