The Division of Community Surgery Welcomes Dr. Dean Klinger
The Department of Surgery and the Division of Community Surgery is pleased to announce the successful recruitment of Dean E. Klinger, M.D. Dr. Klinger is a former Resident here at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) where he was Chief Resident in 1986. As part of his training, he spent six months at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England. Dr. Klinger has been a well-known surgeon in the Milwaukee area since finishing his training here at MCW, and we are very fortunate to have him join our newly established Division of Community Surgery. Dr. Klinger completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin and went to medical school at MCW. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a councilor for the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and past president of the Milwaukee Academy of Surgeons. He was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Klinger is a senior member of the surgical community of greater Milwaukee, a very accomplished general and vascular surgeon, and well known for his work in minimally invasive adrenalectomy and vascular access. Dr. Klinger is joined by his wife Mary Theresa and they have two children; Jonathan and Katherine. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Dr. Klinger to our newly established Division of Community Surgery, the Department of Surgery, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
