Dr. Miraj Shah-Khan to Join the Department of Surgery

The Division of Surgical Oncology and the Department of Surgery are pleased to announce the recruitment of Miraj Shah-Khan, MD to our faculty.  Dr. Shah-Khan is a graduate of Rush Medical College and she completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois.  Her residency training included two dedicated years of research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda.  Following residency she has obtained fellowship training in breast surgery/oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Dr. Shah-Khan will allow the Division of Surgical Oncology to expand the scope of the interdisciplinary breast program to include the Kraemer Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital West Bend and Community Memorial Hospital.  She will see patients with benign and malignant diseases of the breast at these two locations beginning September 1st.  Please join me in welcoming Miraj to our faculty; she can be reached at miraj.shahkhan@gmail.com.

I want to thank Drs. Mark Lodes, Amanda Kong, Tina Yen, Paula Termuhlen, Alonzo Walker, Doug Evans, Frank Wilson, and Jim Thomas for their support of Dr. Shah-Khan’s recruitment and our multidisciplinary breast program.
