Dr. Jill Whitehouse Matches with MCW Division of Pediatric Surgery
Dr. Jill Whitehouse has recently participated in the highly competitive Pediatric Surgery fellowship match 2011 consisting of 39 participating programs and 40 certified positions available in the United States and Canada. Dr. Whitehouse successfully matched with our own MCW Division of Pediatric Surgery and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin after interviewing at more than 20 programs. Dr. Whitehouse began her general surgery residency here at MCW in 2005, spending 2 years in the Division of Pediatric Surgery basic science research laboratories. She has won several research awards and has presented her work at both the national and regional level including presentations at the American College of Surgeons Surgical Forum, Academic Surgical Congress and Wisconsin Surgical Society. Dr. Whitehouse will be an Administrative Chief Resident during the 2011-2012 Academic year before starting her pediatric surgery fellowship in July, 2012.
