Dr. Walker wins 2011 "Champion in Women's Health" Award

Alonzo Walker, MDDr. Alonzo Walker won the 2011 "Champion in Women's Health" award from the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation.  Julie Griffie submitted the nomination and the nomination was completed as a recommendation from the awards committee.  The awards ceremony will take place May 7, 2011 in Madison.

"The Champion in Women’s Health Award honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and devoted themselves to improving the quality of life for women and families in the following women’s health areas: cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, domestic abuse, mental illness, osteoporosis, smoking & alcohol cessation, and rural women’s health." It is statewide.

Dr. Walker truly exemplifies all the qualities of the intended award.
