Nathan Heinzerling, M.D. Recognized for Editorial Contributions to MCW NICU Handbook 7th Edition
Nathan Heinzerling, M.D., General Surgery PGY-IV Resident, was recently recognized for his significant editorial contributions to the successful revision of The Medical College of Wisconsin Handbook for Care of the Ill Newborn and the Infant in the NICU.
Editor-in-Chief Utpala (“Shonu”) G. Das, M.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology and Associate Program Director of Pediatric Residency, acknowledged Dr. Heinzerling’s considerable efforts in editing a detailed index for the handbook. Dr. Das commented that “Dr. Heinzerling’s time and energy spent proofreading and generating a detailed index not only made this rewritten book possible, but was crucial in making this edition the best one to date”.
The NICU Handbook has been a long-standing and highly regarded resource for many, including pediatric, medicine-pediatric, and family practice residents; neonatology and surgical fellows; neonatal nurse practitioners; and various mid-level providers.
