Endocrine Surgery Symposium
May 10-11, 2013
The Medical College of Wisconsin – M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Endocrine Surgery Symposium will be held on May 10-11, 2013 in the MCW Alumni Center. Speakers include MCW faculty in Radiology, Endocrinology, Otolaryngology and Surgical Oncology, including Robert Blank, MD, PhD, recently named as the incoming Chief of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Clinical Nutrition at MCW, as well as invited speakers from M. D. Anderson Cancer Center: Jeffrey Lee, MD, and Libby Grubbs, MD, who will be speaking on their experiences with adrenocortical carcinoma and MEN2.
The symposium also will feature two distinguished and internationally known endocrinologists. Erik Alexander, MD, from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, who will be speaking on “What the surgeon needs to know about thyroid disease in the pregnant patient” and “Translating molecular diagnostics into the surgical management of thyroid nodular disease” and Richard Kloos, MD, now Senior Medical Director at Veracyte, will be speaking on “Screening for medullary thyroid cancer and other rare thyroid neoplasms.”
