    Goal
    This two-day multidisciplinary course will spotlight on the current approaches to the management of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and neuroendocrine pancreas tumors. The management of inherited syndromes also will be discussed. Audience participation is encouraged through question-and-answer sessions, case presentations, and panel discussions.

    Educational Objectives
    Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

    • Discuss the treatment options in the management of well-differentiated thyroid cancers
    • Describe the evaluation and options for localization studies and surgical management of primary hyperparathyroidism
    • Outline the evaluation and management of functional tumors of the adrenal gland
    • Review multidisciplinary approaches to the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas
    • Discuss the genetic evaluation and surgical management of inherited endocrine syndromes

    Educational Method
    The format will include lectures from leaders in each field along with discussion. There will also be case presentations in a tumor board format led by moderators with ample opportunity for questions and answers.

    Evaluation
    A course evaluation form will be provided to all attendees upon arrival, with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or impact on patient health status.

    Accreditation and Designation
    This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Medical College of Wisconsin. The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this education activity for a maximum of 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
