Dr. Keith Oldham Elected President of APSTPD
Nov. 10, 2009 College News - Keith T. Oldham, MD, Professor of Surgery and Chief of Pediatric Surgery, has been elected president of the Association of Pediatric Surgery Training Program Directors (APSTPD). Dr. Oldham will serve a two-year term.
The APSTPD is the group of program directors responsible for the curriculum and training of pediatric surgery residents in the United States and Canada. The association works with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the Residency Review Committee as well as the American Board of Surgery to define standards for contemporary training in pediatric surgery in the United States and Canada.
There are currently 38 accredited training programs in the United States and eight accredited training programs in Canada.
