Thank you for your interest in the urologic surgery residency training program at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), an approved and accredited 5 (1:4) year curriculum. The Department of Urology supports three (3) residents per year though rotations at Froedtert Hospital, Zablocki VA Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and two local community hospitals. It represents the largest Urology residency training program in the state of Wisconsin. Located in Southeast Wisconsin, MCW serves a diverse population of urban, suburban and rural communities. Froedtert Hospital is the primary adult full service academic tertiary care facility affiliated with Medical College of Wisconsin. Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is the largest and only free standing Children’s Hospital in the state. Zablocki VA Medical Center is the largest referral VA Hospital in the State.

One of our department’s strengths is employing regionally, nationally and internationally recognized experts in all areas of urology. The faculty consists of 19 urologists and four (4) non urologists with appointments to the Department of Urology. This group of fellowship-trained specialists provide specialized instruction in urologic oncology, cryotherapy, endourology, robotics, laparoscopy, pediatric urology, female urology, sexual dysfunction, prostate enlargement, chronic pelvic pain, neurourology, reconstructive urology, andrology infertility, uropathology and uroradiology. Upon completion of MCW’s urology training program our residents are adequately prepared for careers in academic medicine or private practice.

Our program participates in the American Urological Association Residency Match Program.
