Appointment or Promotion as a Volunteer Associate Professor
A Volunteer Associate Professor has made tangible contributions to at least one of the four focus areas of academic and/or clinical achievement that constitute the mission of the College (see above) and has achieved local or regional recognition. A description of the candidate's plan for contribution to at least one of the three academic achievement focus areas of the College must be included. Generally, an appointment or promotion to the rank of Associate Professor for a Volunteer Faculty requires a minimum of seven years of academic service. Appointments and promotions of Volunteer Faculty to the rank of Associate Professor require the positive recommendation of the Committee on Rank and Tenure.
