Project Goal Statement: To increase awareness of HPV among urban adolescents in Milwaukee who are high risk for HPV infection morbidity and mortality. The innovation lies in the utilization of peer health advocates and the power of social media.

    • Youth developed brochures, billboards, and videos, with the assistance of project mentors, for the social media campaign directed towards their peers
    • Hosted the 2nd Annual Spread the Word Public Service Announcement (PSA) event
    • Exhibited at local community-focused health fair events with final brochures and had billboards on display during July in select Milwaukee zip codes (53206, 53210, 53216)
    • Conducted community marketing at the 2013 Milwaukee Health Department Immunization Symposium
