The Triumph Fund Honoring the Lorax Dinner
Sunday, August 27, 2017
The Triumph Fund Dinner will be held Sunday, August 27, at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee. The event begins at 5 p.m., with appetizers, dinner, dessert and complimentary beverages.
Tickets are $80 per person and can be purchased on the Triumph Fund Website.
James P. Thomas, MD, PhD, Medical Director of the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Trials Office and Professor of Medicine (Hematology and Oncology), will share a presentation about the importance of clinical trials and discuss the clinical research being conducted at MCW.
John and Janis Hovel and their children established The Triumph Fund in February 2013. John Hovel passed away in August 2014 after being treated for metastatic colon cancer over a period of four years at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. He wanted his friends and family members to celebrate his life by continuing the Triumph Fund and its main fundraising event, the Honoring the Lorax Dinner.
To date, nearly $165,000 has been raised through the Fund to support the work of the MCW Clinical Trials Office and cancer research at the College's Cancer Center.
