Manuscripts including data generated within the Center should be acknowledged as follows:
"Mass spectrometry analyses were performed in the Center for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Research at MCW."
The decision to include Center staff as co-authors on manuscripts is determined based on the nature of the contribution and is carefully discussed during the initial project consultation. We follow recommendations put forth by the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities.
We can assist you with the following:
During manuscript preparation
MS Center staff will assist with manuscript writing and editing upon request. This contribution alone does not constitute sufficient intellectual contribution to warrant co-authorship. Rather, it is our mission to help you with preparation of the content, methods, supplemental data, and writing/review of the text.
All proteomics journals require data to be deposited into public repositories
Many other journals are also enforcing this requirement. MS Center staff will be happy to help you meet these publishing requirements upon request.
When your manuscript is accepted
Please send us the title and reference when your manuscript is accepted for publication. This information is critical to maintaining support for the Center, including investments in new instrumentation and technologies.
