Janice Kuiper Pikna and husband DaveJanice Kuiper Pikna, APRN, APNP, CNS-Gerontology, BC, was awarded the 2016 Practitioner of the Year at the 33rd Annual Alzheimer Association, Southeast Wisconsin Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, November 15. Among those in attendance were Janice's husband Dave and three of her Froedtert and the Medical College colleagues: Mary Cohan, MD, Division of Geriatrics, Jessica Kuester, MD, Division of General Internal Medicine and Sue Moser, MSW, Outpatient Social Worker.

We are grateful for Janice's expertise in the areas of memory loss, dementia and behaviors associated with dementia. She is an asset to our Geriatrics Memory and Primary Care clinic at Froedtert Hospital and the Gero-Psychiatry Clinic at the North Hills Health Center.

Congratulations to Dr. Edmund Duthie, recipient of Horizon Home Care and Hospice's "Touching Lives Award" which honors those in our community who use their passion, dedication, work and life to touch the lives of others in a meaningful and impactful way. Horizon presented Dr. Duthie this award at the Matters of the Heart Gala, their annual fundraising event for the Horizon Grief Resource Center, on Saturday, February 6.
