Funding Alert Service Team (FAST): Linking Researchers to Grant Opportunities

With literally hundreds of funding sources with thousands of individual programs and opportunities, determining which of these sources are appropriate for faculty projects can be a daunting task that demands a variety of approaches.

In an effort to assist faculty in advancing research, funding search services are being offered by MCW Libraries and the Office of Research in partnership with the Office of Development to alert faculty to potential funding opportunities. We can work with you to set up a search in Pivot and set up funding alerts so that you will be alerted when new funding opportunities are added to the database. To see examples of search results from Pivot, visit our Grants & Funding guide

Whether you prefer to search on your own or you would like to work with a librarian, MCW Libraries offers resources to assist you.

Work with MCW Libraries to set up a custom funding alert in Pivot

In a 20-30 minute meeting, we can help you identify the appropriate keywords and tags that are used by Pivot and we can assist with putting together an advanced search strategy. The searches will be shared with your Pivot account so that you will receive weekly updates when new funding opportunities are added to Pivot.

Request an appointment with a librarian. Please provide 2-3 dates/times that work well for you. We can meet in person or via WebEx.

Per MCW policy, all faculty and staff must work through the Office of Development before approaching or responding to private foundations for funding. Please contact the Office of Development at (414) 955-4739 with questions.
