Welcome New Clinical Services Librarian, Mary Pat Gage

Mary Pat GageJan. 4, 2017 - MCW Libraries is pleased to welcome Mary Pat Gage, BSN, RN, MLIS, AHIP, the new Clinical Services Librarian at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Library.

Mary Pat earned her bachelor’s degree at the Marquette University College of Nursing and started her nursing career at Children’s Hospital. After 20 years in nursing, she earned her MILS degree at UW- Milwaukee. She has been a medical librarian for 13 years. Most of that time was at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee

In 2011 she co-authored an article published in the Journal of Hospital Librarianship called Using a “Survivor” Style Game to Guide Nursing Research into Practice. This article was referenced in the 2014 edition of Health Sciences Librarianship by M. Sandra Wood.

She enjoys watching the Packers and playing board games with her older son and daughter-in-law. She daydreams of walking the red carpet with her younger son (actor) when she is his date to an awards show in Hollywood.

Her favorite authors are Stephen King, Jane Austin, John Grisham.
