By matching clinical trials to more patients with a higher degree of precision, Watson – IBM’s cognitive computer technology – will help MCW fulfill its mission to advance the health of the community through scientific discovery.
MCW has received a five-year, $6.8 million grant from the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), with the outcome to increase the safety of military personnel from head, neck and spinal injuries.
On Wednesday, June 29, MCW’s Cancer Center participated in Vice President Joe Biden’s Cancer Moonshot Summit, which convened conversations with communities across the US.
The latest milestone in the Medical College of Wisconsin’s years-long journey to expand its medical school into several regions around the state was celebrated on July 5, 2016, when the first class of 26 students at MCW-Central Wisconsin began two days of orientation.
