Patient honors Dr. Karen Blindauer for Doctors’ Day
March 28, 2016 MCW News - Parkinson’s disease expert Karen A. Blindauer, MD, professor of neurology, chief of adult neurology and director of the Movement Disorders Program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, was honored by several patients as part of the 2016 National Doctors’ Day campaign for the care she provided them. One of the patients was Emma Hein of Cedarburg, who had amazing things to say about her experience.
“I have been so pleased with the care I have received . . ." Emma said. “[It has] helped to improve my quality of life!”
Dr. Blindauer is a nationally known expert in Parkinson’s disease who has been actively involved in research in Parkinson’s disease. She is a member of the Parkinson Study Group, an international group of physicians and scientists from such institutions as Johns Hopkins, Columbia University and UCLA dedicated to discovering new treatments for Parkinson’s disease.
In honor of National Doctors’ Day, which is celebrated March 30, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Office of Development and the Froedtert Hospital Foundation invite individuals to “Honor a Doctor” by making a donation to MCW or the Froedtert Hospital Foundation in the name of a deserving physician. The physician your donation honors will receive a letter alerting him or her and their name will be listed on a special Doctors’ Day recognition page.
Emma Hein's contribution makes her a partner in our work. With support from donors like Emma, MCW researchers and clinicians are working together to deliver exceptional care enhanced by discovery. Please take this opportunity to honor a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who’s made a difference in your life.
