Research Interests

I am interested in the use of whole genome sequence data to further the understanding of how genomic variation can contribute to disease. Specifically, I will use whole genome sequencing to identify a disease causing variant in a family with an autosomal dominant form of kidney disease and then characterize how the function of that gene contributes to the disease phenotype.
