Strikes for Hope Charity Bowling Tournament on Feb. 24 to benefit MCW Cancer Center
Jan. 22, 2018 MCW News - The 10th annual Strikes for Hope Charity Bowling Tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at Sussex Bowl. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center for cancer research. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The entry fee is $10 per person, which covers three games of bowling, shoe rental and a tee shirt. In addition, each team is asked to raise a minimum of $100 in donations. Bowlers can choose to start at 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m., with registration for each time beginning one hour before. Bowlers of all ages and all skill levels are welcome to participate. Prizes will be given to the team that raises the most money as well as to the best bowling scores. There also will be opportunities to bid on items.
Since 2009, brothers Brian Ellenbecker and David Ellenbecker have raised more than $155,000 for research at the MCW Cancer Center through this event and other fundraising activities.
