The Medical Response to Sex Trafficking in Minors Training Module

Welcome to The Medical Response to Sex Trafficking in Minors Training Module. This is a case-based, interactive module designed to provide basic knowledge regarding the definition and medical response to youth at risk for sex trafficking. The content was developed for medical providers practicing in Wisconsin but is applicable to providers in other areas as well. After completing this module, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the definition, nature, and scope of sex trafficking in minors.
2. Identify youth at risk for sex trafficking in a medical setting.
3. Identify actions healthcare providers can take when evaluating youth at risk for sex trafficking.

There are four parts to the module- the first is a brief 3-minute introduction section followed by 3 sub-module lessons. Each of the sub-modules last from 18-25 minutes.

Please note that the module functions best using the Google Chrome browser.

This module is a joint project of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice. It was funded, in part, by the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program.
