Pediatrics-Neurology Residency Program

Michael C. Weisgerber, MD, MSIt is our pleasure to introduce you to the Medical College of Wisconsin & Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin 5-year Pediatrics-Neurology training program.

Our curriculum combines excellent training for two years in our pediatric program with an educational curriculum structured to provide experiences of breadth and depth in all areas of pediatrics, followed by three years in our neurology program with a strong focus in child neurology.

This portion of our website has valuable information specific to our 5-year combined Pediatrics-Neurology program. Learn more about the first two years in pediatrics on our pediatric residency website and the final three years on our child neurology fellowship website. In other institution's 5-year programs the final three years are described as residency years or a child neurology fellowship. Our program refers to trainees in the first two years as pediatric-neurology residents and in the final three years as child neurology fellows.

To join this program you may do so via a single match in pediatrics-neurology listed as a 5 year residency program by the NRMP. However you describe it, child neurology is an important and dynamic field and our graduates are in high demand. Consider choosing the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin 5-year Pediatrics-Neurology program as your place to learn all of the skills to help you become an outstanding child neurologist.

Sincerely,

Michael C. Weisgerber, MD, MS
