Emergency Planning is a part of Public Safety at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Emergency Planning works to prepare the College community to respond to emergency situations. As it is impossible to predict when a crisis or disaster will occur it is important to be diligent and deliberate in planning, preparing and training for such events.
Public Safety encourages everyone to familiarize themselves with the information and resources available on this page to help you plan and prepare for any type of emergency. Think about, prior to an emergency, how you will respond to different emergency situations and have a game plan in mind. Every second counts in an emergency situation. Awareness is everyone's responsibility.
Public Safety is responsible for developing and maintaining the College's Emergency Organization Plan (EOP). The EOP is a document that establishes the policies, procedures, and organizational hierarchy for response to critical incidents on campus. It describes the role and operation of units and personnel of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) during an emergency.
