Eduardo was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. He graduated from Colegio Vista Hermosa and the International Baccalaureate, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He was awarded a scholarship for “Academic Excellence” to attend Anahuac University School of Medicine, in Mexico City, where he graduated top of his class. He then worked for a year as a pre-residency fellow for a renowned Mexican neurosurgeon, and moved to the Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix in 2013. There, he did a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship with Dr. Nicholas Theodore, focusing on clinical neurosurgery and spinal biomechanics sponsored by an AO Spine grant and a scholarship from Globus Medical.
Dr. Martinez-del-Campo has authored over 20 published articles and accepted manuscripts in top peer-reviewed journals, and has presented his research in multiple national and international conferences. His interests in neurosurgery include cerebrovascular surgery, traumatic injuries to the craniovertebral junction, brain, and spinal cord; and spinal surgery.
Dr. Martinez-del-Campo enjoys spending time with his fiancée, playing with his dog, and practicing sports.
