Biography
My interest in research began with Ornithology while I had an internship during my undergraduate studies. I continued that research path throughout my education to eventually become an ecologist. Life has weird ways of twisting sometimes, so I ended up teaching science at Discovery World back here in Milwaukee. I missed research too much, and the biology behind vision has always fascinated me, so here I am! While I am not at work I can be found roaming parks in search of birds, trying to stop critters from eating everything in my garden, and attempting to capture the beauty of nature in drawings or photographs.
Research Interests
As a general researcher I have taken on many tasks in the AOIP, including: human and animal imaging with adaptive optics, protocol documentation, mentoring and training new students, and recently I have begun assisting with project and data management.
