Biography

Acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease is a significant complication of HCT and major causes of morbidity and mortality. Sympathetic nervous system activation is implicated in inflammatory pathways that are involved in the pathogenesis of GVHD. My project involves investigating beta-blockers as a potentially safe and efficacious prophylactic adjunct in the prevention of GVHD in patients undergoing HCT.
