Biography
Christy Casnar, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology. She specializes in the evaluation of young children with medical and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and congenital heart disease. Dr. Casnar’s research interests focus on characterizing neurocognitive and psychosocial functioning in children with complex neurological and developmental disorders. To date, her research has focused on characterizing social and executive functioning challenges in young children with Neurofibromatosis type 1 and children with autism. Her work has been presented at international and national conferences and published in peer-reviewed professional journals.
