Biography

Kenneth Schellhase, MD, MPH, has been at the Medical College of Wisconsin since 2001, after some military experience, Penn for medical school, residency at the University of Washington, and a research fellowship through the RWJ foundation. His career has evolved from being a grant-funded researcher to medical director of a Medicaid health plan, but all the while he has remained clinically active taking care of predominantly underserved populations. Currently he serves as the President of the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians. Outside of work and family, he likes to perform as a semi-pro drummer, try to stay fit, and ponder how long it will be before he gets to have an air-cooled VW Beetle again.
