- Improvement of diabetes care through patient education and clinical care protocols.
- Collaboration with McGee Center scientists to maximize patient involvement in human research on Type 1 Diabetes.
- Genetics of obesity
- Effects of environmental exposures on body composition
As director of the MCW Section of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, and the CHW Endocrine and Diabetes programs, my major goals are to foster collaborations to maximize the success of research, education, and clinical care within our multidisciplinary team. Involvement with national organizations and federally or privately funded collaborative research efforts are high priorities, as this will allow access to resources and research data beneficial to our own programs. Our nationally recognized Diabetes program scientists will thus be better able to leverage their discoveries to benefit patients and families.
