Dermatology Residents Present Posters at the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) Annual Meeting
Two Dermatology residents had the opportunity to present a poster this year at the ASDP 56th Annual Meeting held in San Diego, CA. The educational mission of the ASDP is to teach, aid in the dissemination of knowledge and encourage research to improve the quality of the practice of dermatopathology. The annual meeting is primarily an educational one, offering members, fellows, residents and medical students lectures on current topics in dermatopathology, interactive sessions at the microscope, a self-assessment course, and opportunities for poster and abstract presentations. Both of the residents worked with Dr. Olayemi Sokumbi for their posters, who was previously part of the Dermatology faculty. She is now part of the Department of Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
