Biography

Dr. Fleming is an adjunct professor in the Institute of Health and Equity, and a practicing physician in at Children’s Wisconsin. Dr. Fleming is focused on population health, quality improvement and implementation science. Dr. Fleming has cared for sick children on five continents. He has been also been involved with research and implementation of a variety of projects including rotavirus prevention in India, medical informatics in Kenya, microfinance in Honduras, rural primary care in Guatemala, medical education in Cambodia, tropical medicine in Thailand, and a student-run free clinic on the US-Mexico border. He has written a book, Pathways to Population Health, highlighting the opportunity for local leaders to gather resources, align community efforts, and improve health outcomes. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
