Biography

Dr. Eileen Reynolds is Vice Chair for Education and Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine. She previously spent 13 years as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at BIDMC. She is a Harvard College and Harvard Medical School graduate who completed her primary care residency in internal medicine at UCSF. Prior to joining the faculty at BIDMC in 2000, she was the initial Program Director for the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research activities relate to feedback, evaluation, and mentorship of residents and the future of medical training; her clinical practice is in general internal medicine and women's health. She also directs BIDMC's Linde Center for Primary Care, leads the Department of Medicine's Committee on the Advancement of Women, and is one of the editors of the Annals of Internal Medicine Series "Beyond the Guidelines" at BIDMC. She served as President of the Society of General Internal Medicine in 2016-2017.
