Kathy A. Rafel

I have had the pleasure of working at MCW for over 25 years, with most of my career in the Department of Medicine. My principal roles include providing support to Kathlyn E. Fletcher, MD, MA, Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, Chief Residents and Associate Program Directors. Other responsibilities include coordinating Academic Half Day lectures, Core Skills sessions, yearly retreats for each PG class, and the department’s annual graduation banquet. I thoroughly enjoy working with residents supporting their education and appreciate their enthusiasm and knowledge. We have a great team of faculty and staff who are open to new ideas and constantly strive to create a constructive and inclusive environment for all. Camping and traveling throughout Wisconsin and the US, gardening, and learning about world wine regions are the activities that occupy much of my free time.
