Biography
Dr. You is a member of the Board of Scientific Counselors of the National Cancer Institute. He is a current member and past chair of the Chemo/Dietary Prevention Study Section (CDP) and a member of the Chemical Pathology Study Section (CPA) at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. You also served as a member of the NCI’s Cancer Susceptibility Think Tank and Cancer Chemoprevention Think Tank and the chair of the Review Panel for Chemopreventive Agent Development Research Group (CADRG), Division of Cancer Prevention at the National Cancer Institute. He is an Associate Editor of Cancer Research and Cancer Prevention Research and is on the editorial board of PLoS One and Carcinogenesis.
He has lectured broadly and internationally in his areas of interest and expertise. His publications have focused on work in genetics and chemoprevention of lung cancer and his bibliography includes over 170 titles. He has mentored a large number of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and has a large laboratory, including a number of research and tenure track faculty members.
