Biography
My name is Erica and I am from Appleton, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry. During my undergraduate career I was a mentor at Northwest Counseling and Guidance Clinic. There, I was able to develop outcome-based growth plans and maintain supportive and engaging relationships with young adolescents. This experience allowed me to find my passion for helping others and to serve my community in an impactful way. My participation in undergraduate research led me to find work at Advocate Aurora Health – ACL Laboratories after completing my degree. As a histology extern, I was trained to handle patient tissue and to work collaboratively in a central laboratory. Outside of work and school, I enjoy traveling to different state and national parks, bass and pan fishing, and playing outdoor volleyball with my friends. I look forward to attending the Medical College of Wisconsin and becoming a future genetic counselor!
