A Research Abstract is a report on a completed empirical investigation that contributes to medical education research and practice. In contrast to RIME Research Papers (which have a different submission deadline), the results of smaller-scale pilot projects, exploratory studies, or components of larger projects may be submitted as a Research Abstract.
Abstracts will be presented in one of two formats: oral or poster. The presentation format will be determined by the program planning committee based on thematic content of the abstracts. Oral presentations will be no longer than 10 minutes in duration.
Abstracts are limited to a total of 3000 characters (700 characters per section except the "Significance" section at 200 characters) not including title, authors and institutional affiliations, and references.
To be announced
- Oral presentations: 8 minutes for presenter followed by 5 minutes of discussion
- Posters: The size limit is 8’ wide x 4’ high
