Interests and Background
Jamie grew up in Onalaska, Wisconsin and studied at the University of Madison-Wisconsin. After graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Pathology, she worked as a Study Coordinator for the Neurosurgical and Anesthesiology Departments at UW Hospital where she first learned of the Anesthesiologist Assistant profession. After completing her prerequisite coursework, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she attended and graduated from Emory Medical School’s Masters of Anesthesia Program in 2005.

Immediately after graduating she began her CAA experience at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta’s Level 1 trauma and burn center also treating high acuity OB patients. After returning to Wisconsin to be closer to family, Jamie worked at Gundersen Lutheran.

The move to the Medical College of Wisconsin has been an exciting one. She has found the clinical setting an excellent place to merge her love of teaching and anesthesia with both first and second year students.

Jamie and her husband Adam have two daughters, Addie and Emmie and two dogs. They enjoy spending time with family back in LaCrosse and taking advantage of all the seasons Wisconsin has to offer! Jamie’s personal hobbies include anything that involves laughing, snowboarding, playing with her kids and crocheting.
