Our MCWfusion curriculum provides a phased approach for a comprehensive medical education, including doctoring threads paired with practice opportunities.
Phase 1 provides system-based foundational science training and immersive clinical experiences.
Phase 2 consists of core clinical experiences arranged in integrated blocks.
Phase 3 offers individualization, differentiation, and two acting internships.
Doctoring Threads are integrated throughout all phases: communication skills, health equity, critical thinking, patient care skills, health systems science, character and professional development, interprofessional education and practice.

Learning Communities
Your Learning Community will become your support system during medical school. You will interact with a small group of peers and a faculty navigator while nurturing your adaptive learner skills and obtaining academic advising and coaching.
Spiral Weeks
During Spiral Weeks, you will create and act on individual development plans for excellence and remediation and develop meaningful connections with peers and faculty.
Scholarly Pathways
Scholarly Pathways enable you to individualize your medical education while exploring a path that interests you. MCW's Scholarly Pathways include Urban and Community Health, Clinical and Translational Research, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Health Systems and Management Policy, Molecular and Cellular Research, Clinical Educator, Global Health, and Bioethics.
