Residency Match 2021: Match Results

Thank you to all faculty and staff who worked to support our students during the 2021 Match process. This was a very challenging year, and without your advice students would not have been successful pursuing their desired careers.

Through the Match, 242 MCW medical students (95.6 percent) obtained first-year residency positions. A total of 84 students will remain in Wisconsin for PGY1 residency training - 33% of MCW-Milwaukee students, 36% of MCW-Central Wisconsin students and 45% of MCW-Green Bay students. The greatest percentage of specialties represented were in internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine and anesthesiology. View more information on this year's Match results.
