Serving as a member of the School of Pharmacy Executive Council and reporting to the Founding Dean, Mr. Spiess provides leadership, oversight, direction, and supervision of the Office of Academic & Student Affairs and affiliated personnel, including the primary areas of recruitment and admission, enrollment and student affairs, academic and curricular services, assessment and analytics, interprofessional education, and special projects. He directs the Doctor of Pharmacy program operations in collaboration and consultation with key faculty leaders to ensure effective curricular delivery, and he serves as the School of Pharmacy’s chief student affairs officer responsible for the complete student life cycle (applicants to alumni) and experience.
Prior to joining MCW in 2016, Mr. Spiess worked in related areas of higher education, including curricular affairs, academic advising, student affairs, and residence life. He has also taught undergraduate courses in an accredited health sciences program.
I strive to provide excellence in the administration of the School of Pharmacy’s academic services to both faculty and students, contributing to our operational effectiveness and the pursuit of our vision. I enjoy program development discussions and guiding colleagues and students alike as they identify strengths and opportunities for improvement on both personal and programmatic levels
