Sue Korek, MAED was appointed Program Manager of Academic Affairs & Interprofessional Education (IPE) for the Pharmacy School in June 2017. In her role, Ms. Korek leads the development of the Pharmacy School’s IPE program managing the selection and implementation of the IPE programs and activities to fulfill standards of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Prior to her appointment, Ms. Korek oversaw all of the IPE for the Medical College of WI beginning with an IPE pilot program and advancing it to embedded IPE sessions throughout the medical school curriculum. Ms. Korek earned her baccalaureate degree from Marquette University in Mathematics Education and her graduate degree from University of Phoenix in Education/eLearning.

I believe the next generation of graduating pharmacy students will be the change agents that bring about improved patient care as a result of collaborative interprofessional healthcare teams. I hope to inspire this collaborative nature by embedding unique and innovative interprofessional education (IPE) opportunities into the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum.
