Controlling Hypertension By Inspiring Change
The symposium is an initiative to create and assess community-related interventions that can help improve cardiovascular health at the population level. Hypertension affects 1.3 million adults in Wisconsin despite the existence of effective therapies. The speakers will discuss the need for and benefit of population health and community-engaged research. Please also consider joining us for the "Inspiring Change Visionary Group" following the symposium at 3:30 pm. As a participant, you will be a part of an interprofessional team of practitioners, students and community partners that will help lay the framework to eliminate health disparities related to hypertension and cardiovascular disease through community-based research.
If you wish to join the Visionary Group, please do so on the registration page. Space is limited. Confirmation of your attendance will be sent along with further information.
