MCW’s 12th Annual Global Health Week in partnership with Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Education presents The Impact of Global Health Engagement on Character and Caring.
The session will focus on how working globally can enhance personal “character and caring” - key values that MCW is fostering in its trained physicians. It will feature a panel of professionals and learners who will share stories of their global health experiences, how the experiences impacted their understanding of character and caring, and how these individuals envision the influence of the experiences on their careers. This Global Health Week-related opportunity will include discussion by the panelists, followed by interactive Q&A with the audience.
The Connection Café portion of MCW’s 12th Annual Global Health Week in partnership with Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Education: The Impact of Global Health Engagement on Character and Caring runs from 1-2 p.m. Pre-registration via Zoom is required. A bonus session of case discussions in small breakout groups with the Global Health Pathway is offered from 2:15-3:15 p.m., following a 2-2:15 p.m. break.
