Biography
Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown completed her Cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she trained in the elite Clinician Investigator program. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. She specializes in Cardio-Oncology and Preventive Cardiology, with particular interest in their overlap. As a Cardio-Oncologist, Dr. Brown walks alongside her patients in their incredible journey of cancer survivorship. As a Preventive Cardiologist, she helps protect the hearts of individuals with or without cancer. Read her signature poem published in a medical oncology journal magazine about protecting the heart during cancer therapy.
Her medical training at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut was part of the selective NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program. Along with her MD, she concurrently received her PhD in Biomedical Science (Computational Biology). Her research in cardio-oncology and preventive cardiology incorporates precision medicine, artificial intelligence, digital health, and other forms of innovation.
