Biography

Tina Damarjian, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, during which time she did a one-year research fellowship at the University of Iowa. After a transitional year internship at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, she began her ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York, completing her final two years of resident training at Indiana University. Dr. Damarjian then went on to two one-year pediatric ophthalmology fellowships, first at Indiana University and then at the University of California, Lost Angeles. She is now returning to the Midwest as an assistant professor of ophthalmology & visual sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a pediatric ophthalmologist with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

During her years of training, Dr. Damarjian received various accolades, including the University of Illinois at Chicago Granville A. Bennett Award for Outstanding Contribution to Medical Education for developing a web-based interactive tool used by medical students rotating through the ophthalmology clerkship.
